# RealtimeAPI.ai

> Real-time data feeds for AI agents: 231 endpoints from 2 live feeds behind one API. Discover feeds semantically, start free with a key (1,000 calls a month), then pay per request in USDC with x402. No account. No subscription.

RealtimeAPI.ai is an independent data marketplace; it is not OpenAI's Realtime API.

Every feed is served at `https://api.realtimeapi.ai/v1/{feed}/{path}`. An unpaid request returns HTTP 402 with a `PAYMENT-REQUIRED` header (x402 v2, USDC on Base, network eip155:8453); retry with a `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE` header, or send `X-API-Key: rta_live_...`. Only 2xx responses are charged.

- Semantic search: `GET https://api.realtimeapi.ai/discover?q=...` returns at most 5 compact matches.
- Price check without paying: `GET https://api.realtimeapi.ai/quote?url=...`.
- Free key (1,000 calls a month, every feed): `POST https://api.realtimeapi.ai/keys/free` with `{"email": "..."}`; the key works at once and is re-issued once when that email signs in.
- Builder ($29, 50,000 calls) or Scale ($199, 500,000 calls) for 30 days in USDC, every feed, no auto-renewal: `GET https://api.realtimeapi.ai/purchase/plan/{builder|scale}` is the x402 offer, `POST` it with `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE` to buy (send `X-API-Key` to put it on your key; a new key is returned once). Past the included calls, prepaid credit is spent per call, else 429.
- Time passes for one feed (1 hour, 7 days or 30 days): `GET https://api.realtimeapi.ai/purchase/{feed}` lists them; one x402 payment buys one on a key.
- Prepaid credit for any feed: `POST https://api.realtimeapi.ai/purchase/credits?amount={usd}` with x402.
- Agents pay per call with x402 on Base. People can also pay plans, passes and credit by direct USDC transfer on Base, Ethereum or Solana, or Builder and Scale by card: https://realtimeapi.ai/pricing.
- MCP server (streamable HTTP): https://mcp.realtimeapi.ai/mcp with tools discover, list_feeds, get_quote, call_feed, create_free_key; per-feed paid tools at https://mcp.realtimeapi.ai/mcp/{feed} are named {feed}_{endpoint}.
